COVID-19 Has Rocked Our World

It's been approximately 515 days since my last BLOG. I know!! That's pitiful!! I'm not really a "blogger" or a writer.  I am a talker though. Just ask anyone that knows me. So, I want to talk about how the boutique world has handled  Covid-19.

I am a member of an organization called The Boutique Hub. I've seen so many success stories over the last month of women who have not only kept their businesses alive but have actually increased their sales. Owners that wouldn't dream of getting in front of a camera started doing live sales while literally almost throwing up from fright. We pretty much all started doing home delivery to save money on postage. Curbside service was being offered all over the country even before our politicians coined the phrase, "Retail to Go".  Ummm isn't all retail to-go?  I mean I've never bought anything and let the store keep it!! :)

There have been many great things come out of this horrible situation. I know it's hard to find a silver lining, but I think there are lessons to be learned in everything we do. I've struggled for over a year and a half to promote our website and still every day someone would say, "I didn't know you had a website". Ugh!!!  Once it became our only outlet our customers just transitioned without blinking an eye.

I know there are a lot of people that don't have the option to do business on a website, like our beauticians and barbers. Please keep them in your daily prayers. For the life of me I can't understand why they are not essential.

Speaking of being essential. We were approved last week to re-open our doors as an essential business!! Please come see us but don't forget that website we work so hard to keep pretty!!

We love our customers and we hope you are using good judgement as to when to go out and how to protect yourself when you do.  I won't even get into that debate, but I am ready for Texas to get back to business!! Not business as usual but........... You know what I mean!
